WADAH: TIME FOR DECISIVE ACTION BEYOND WORDS AGAINST ISRAELI APARTHEID; BACKS MALAYSIAN PM’S FIRM STAND IN DOHA

16 SEPTEMBER 2025 WADAH PRESS RELEASE

The Movement for and Informed Society Malaysia (WADAH) fully supports t he official statement delivered by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, at the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit held in Doha today.

In his speech, the Prime Minister strongly condemned the Israeli airstrikes on Doha – describing it as “barbaric, inhumane and a blatant violation of sovereignty.” WADAH affirms that this attack is not merely an assault on Qatar, but an affront to the entire Muslim ummah and to the principles of international peace and justice.

Collective Action

WADAH stresses that the Muslim world must act with the following measures:

  1. Collectively sever diplomatic ties with Israel.
  2. Halt all forms of trade and cooperation with the Zionist regime.
  3. Support humanitarian missions, particularly the Global Sumud Flotilla, in which WADAH’s network is engaged through Global Peace Mission (GPM) Malaysia.
  4. Apply political and economic pressure to secure recognition of a free and independent Palestinian state.
  5. Mobilize the collective power of Arab and Muslim nations to cut trade ties with Israel and halt the import of arms from the United States and Western powers.
  6. Urgently deploy international peacekeeping forces to Gaza in the name of humanity, to stop the bloodshed and ensure peace.

Solidarity with Palestine transcends nations, races, and religions. It is a matter of humanity and universal peace.

On the occasion of Malaysia Day, 16 September, WADAH extends its warmest greetings to all Malaysians. Let us unite in defending our sovereignty and stand in solidarity with our Prime Minister in the struggle for peace in West Asia and the liberation of Palestine.

“Free Palestine, Uphold Sovereignty, Defend Humanity.”

Azizuddin Ahmad,
Secretary General,
The Movement for and Informed Society Malaysia (WADAH)
