- WADAH PENCERDASAN UMAT MALAYSIA (The Movement for an Informed Society) (WADAH) wish to express its deepest condolences to the people of Turkiye and the affected families of victims of the bombing in Istanbul on 13thNovember 2022.
- WADAH also condemned the senseless act of terrorism which has occurred at Istiklal Avenue in Beyoglu District, Istanbul at 4.20 pm (local time), 13th November 2022. The location is the main tourist area and one of the main roads leading to Taksim Square, the heart of modern Istanbul and the main transportation hub.
- According to the Governor of Istanbul, the explosion left at least eight died and eighty-one (81) injured. Whilst the main suspect of the bombing attack has been reportedly identified, no terrorist group has claimed responsibility for it.
- The perpetrators must be severely punished to avoid similar copycats. We must never succumb to any acts of terrorism perpetrated by any parties whatsoever.
- WADAH hopes that His Excellency Recep Erdogan, the people and leadership of Turkiye remain strong and cohesive in these trying times.
We pray that ALlah the Almighty shower His Mercy on the people of Turkiye.
